This type of doll has been copied many times. Be aware that the cheaper “copy cats” are stuffed with polyester instead of sheep’s wool. Polyester does not transfer scents, therefore the doll cannot be considered a natural “bonding” doll!

So pleased with this doll! My 8 month old loves it. I slept with it in my bed for 2 nights so it would get my scent, and it really does pick up the scents of you and your home. Very good quality and soft. The ears are perfect for baby’s gripping and chewing! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the way it was packaged. I cut into the envelope to open it and accidentally cut into one of the doll’s feet. 🙁 I can sew it, but I wish there had been some kind of marking on the packaging to let me know where to open it from.
I hand washed it and fluffed in in the dryer, then let it air dry the rest of the way. Washes well.

I am ordering a Peppa for my 2 month old after getting rave reviews about it from my sister who ordered one for her daughter. I have seen/smelled the toy and it does what it advertises it does! My niece definitely seems to be developing an attachment to hers and I hope that my son will love his, too!
